Return Process

All SONIC equipment, from tool storage to individual hand tools, are covered under our Lifetime Warranty and supported by our 24-Hour Online Tool Exchange.


We believe our return process is simple and efficient. Within minutes of your warranty claim being sent, the SONIC team will process your claim (either approving or denying the claim), and an order for a brand new product will be issued into our shipping department. This process guarantees you receive a new product quickly.

If you have already created an account, choose LOGIN AS USER to start your return/warranty process, or if you have not purchased online with us, please choose GUEST RETURN to start the process! Provide the information requested along with a picture of the product you wish to return to complete the return/warranty process. After the information is received we will process your claim within 24 hours and ship the new product once complete. If we request the old part back, there will be a return label inside the box, please affix to the box, and return to the nearest UPS location.


If you’re returning a broken or damaged product, make sure all components of the broken tool are included in the return package, with the RMA label provided on the outside for return shipping.

Please pack your returns securely enough to prevent further damage in transit. Any further damage in return transit could make it difficult for us to properly assess the originally damaged product when it returns to our headquarters.

Include original invoice or all other necessary information within the returned package.


Make sure your return arrives to us promptly and without any further problems following the guidelines listed below. Following these recommendations will ensure your returns and exchanges are processed quickly.

Package broken or damaged tool inside the box provided by SONIC Tools, or package carefully inside another box of your choosing.

Place RMA label provided on the outside of the return package, and ship package back to SONIC Tools headquarters in Auburn, Alabama.


Warranty & Returns


Sonic Equipment B.V. or its assigns ("Sonic") provides the following warranty to customers who purchase tools and equipment from authorized Sonic distribution channels for use in their profession ("Buyer").

Sonic warrants the Sonic brand products against defects in workmanship and materials for a duration described in each product's warranty code.

The warranty duration depends upon the nature of the product. If the product information for purchased product does not include a warranty statement with the applicable duration or prior to the product purchase, Buyer can obtain the product warranty code and warranty duration from the selling Sonic dealer or representative or by writing Sonic at the address provided at the end of this warranty statement.

Consumable products are warranted, at the time of sale, only against defects in workmanship or materials that prevent their use.

Consumable products are goods reasonably expected the be used up or damaged during use, including but not limited to drill bits, saw blades, grinding discs, sanding discs, knife blades, files, o2 sensors and batteries. This warranty only extends to the original Buyer and cannot be transferred or assigned.

During the applicable duration of the warranty, at its opinion, Sonic will repair or replace its products which fail to give satisfactory service due to a defect in workmanship or materials, or provide a refund by repaying or crediting Buyer with an amount equal to the purchase price of such products.

Repair, replacement or refund shall be at the sole election and expense of Sonic, and is Buyer's exclusive remedy in place of all other rights and remedies. To obtain warranty service, return products to Sonic or a Sonic dealer. Proof of purchase must be provided with all warranty service requests. By repairing or replacing a product, or providing a refund, Sonic does not waive a claim that a product nevertheless has been subject to abnormal use.

In addition to any limitations outlined in warranty statements provided with the product, Sonic does NOT provide any warranty for (1) products labelled other than Sonic or (2) products subjected to "abnormal use". Products that are not labelled Sonic are subject to the warranty provided by the manufacturers of those products and Sonic will pass along any such warranties.

"Ab normal use" includes misuse, accident, modification, alternation, unreasonable or improper use, abuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, use in product related service, or use after the product is significantly worn. Abnormal use of tool storage units also includes, without limitation, situations when a unit us pulled using a mechanical vehicle, rolled over large drops, used in a highly corrosive environment, used as a step stool, modified with non Sonic parts, overloaded or modified in any way.

The foregoing warranty is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties not expressly set forth herein, whether express or implied by operation of law or otherwise, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and sets forth the sole and exclusive remedy in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, Sonic does not grant any other person or entity permission to create for it any warranty, liability or obligation in connection with its products.

Sonic and its affiliated companies shall not be liable for any incidental, special or consequential losses, costs or damages incurred by Buyer or others, directly or indirectly arising from the sale, handling or use of the products, or from any other cause with respect to the products or this warranty, whether such claim is based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, strict liability in tort, negligence or any other legal theory (including without limitation, lost profits, revenues, anticipated sales, business opportunities, goodwill, or interruption of business or other injury or damage).

Any returns for reasons other than a warranty claim will be charged up to a 25% restocking fee and the cost of return shipping.

To the extent allowed by applicable law, this warranty and all rights and obligations hereunder, including matters of construction, validity and performance, shall be governed by the law, without giving effect to the principles of conflicts of law thereof.

Shipping Policy

*Regarding all shipping, Sonic reserves the right to change prices on the website at any time. Student discounts and other promotions do not apply. There is a $400 per pallet flat rate shipping charge applied to the continental United States only. Shipping to Canada, Alaska and Hawaii must be custom quoted.  Please contact the Sonic team with any questions.



Important Notice

We reserve the right to make changes in design or construction at any time without incurring any obligation in incorporating such changes in tools or equipment previously sold. We also reserve the right to discontinue the manufacture or offering for sale through Sonic dealers of any tools or equip- ment at such time as we consider necessary.

We cannot accept the responsibility for the results of using tools which have been abused or badly worn, such as punches and chisels mushroomed by hammer blows, or the incorrect use or tools, or tools repaired by others.
