The Sonic 8-inch triangular brake file is specifically made for maintaining and rebuilding brake calipers. The cutting area is much different than a typical flat or bastard file. These teeth are much more coarse and made to attack rust and corrosion that builds up on the brake caliper brackets. These are important tools and not using this file can sometimes cause brand new brake pads to wear uneven.
